Canada, U.S. to share $500M in stimulus package
On Friday, Canada and the U.A.E. will announce a $500 million stimulus package for Canada’s infrastructure.
The federal government will spend $4.8 billion on infrastructure projects for the Canadian economy, including $400 million for Metro Vancouver.
The U.N. agency is set to announce its latest economic report on Thursday.
The package will include $1.4 billion for Metro and $1 billion for a planned light rail project in the Vancouver area.
Canada’s $1-billion commitment comes as Canada and U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May announced a trade deal to boost trade and investment.
