Hawaii is giving out FedEx package packages to residents and visitors to cover the cost of the hurricane
Hawaii is offering packages of food and beverages to residents, tourists and visitors and is paying for them out of its own pocket.
Hawaii Governor David Ige announced the program Monday on his Twitter account.
Ige said that for those who can afford the cost, they can buy food, groceries and other necessities from Hawaii Food Bank.
The Governor said the program will provide a safety net for the state in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.
